Managing refrigerant in food retail stores is an important division from environmental, regulatory to financial perspective. It is estimated that food retail store leaks around 25 percent of its refrigerant supply annually. Individually, the loss of R-404A (A common refrigerant) at $7 per pound for each store can add up to a sizeable annual expense.
