In the world of refrigerants, the only constant is change. Synthetic refrigerants promise to be a part of the solution to environmental problems. And for now, they are as future-proof as they can be. But due to market dynamics most of the industry is still relying on traditional refrigerant solutions.


Low, getting lower


We offer lower GWP refrigerant options including HFC and HFO A1 blends for all applications, while enlarging and releasing our compressor line-ups for A2L blends with even lower GWP to help those in the food retail, foodservice, and cold room segments get F-Gas compliant on time.


While the current HFO A1 blends help lower the GWP level by more than 60%, the new pure HFOs and HFO A2L blends will bring levels down to below 150 GWP, making them suitable future-proof refrigerants.


HFO blends are currently a favorite choice because unlike CO2 or propane, there are far fewer limitations regarding flammability, pressures, or extra design work and costs. As such, HFOs are ideal “drop-in” retrofit replacements, whereas CO2 and propane are best suited for new system construction.
