ZO Subcritical CO₂ Scroll Compressor
Copeland ZO subcritical CO2 scroll compressors are designed to exploit the characteristics of CO2 refrigeration systems. The efficiency, reliability and liquid handling advantages of Copeland scroll technologies make it ideal for these applications. Features of the lineup include:
- 6 displacements from 1 to 6 horsepower
- 23 to 104 MBH; rated at -25 degrees F saturated discharge temperature
- 3 digital displacements (2, 3.5, and 6 HP at full capacity), providing 10 to 100% capacity modulation

4MTLS Supercritical CO₂ Semi-hermetic Compressor
Copeland 4MTLS supercritical CO2 semi-hermetic compressors with four-cylinders are the ideal solution for R-744 supercritical booster systems. The compressor line is characterized by a design operating pressure of 1740 psig (120 bar). All compressors are equipped with Copeland compressor electronics technology, offering faster system troubleshooting & protection.

4MSLS Subcritical CO₂ Semi-hermetic Compressor
The Copeland 4MSLS subcritical CO2 semi-hermetic compressor product line can withstand higher stand-still pressures. The product line include three displacements from 407 to 765 CFH with onboard diagnostics, offering faster system troubleshooting and protection from problems before they occur.
The capacity range of the 4MSLS product line ranges from 33 to 179 MBH at -25 degrees F evaporating, 20 degrees F saturated discharge temperature at 60 Hz. The Copeland subcritical CO2 semi-hermetic compressor line can be applied with a variable speed drive to allow for precise load matching and smooth system operation, with drive inputs from 25 to 70 Hz.

E3 Supervisory Control
The E3 controller for CO2 applications is part of Copeland’s next generation of facility management and refrigeration control platform. This CO2-specific version of the E3 controller streamlines management of essential facility systems and provides advanced CO2 supercritical booster refrigeration control in an easy-to-use platform. It’s designed to optimize system performance in multiple ways:
- Reduces set-up complexity by consolidating multiple applications into one, CO2 -specific workflow
- Provides visual overview of entire CO2 system operation in one screen
- Supports customization of all required system values in one view
- Assists users to manage entire CO2 supercritical rack system
- Enables faster system start-up via a simplified, one-time setup and tuning of system parameters

XM600 Series Case Control
Copeland case controls for CO2 systems deliver worry-free, case-level system optimization and seamless integration with the E3 supervisory control for CO2 applications. The XM600 series case control:
- Manages defrost and minimum defrost time
- Controls pump down before defrost
- Supports multiple probe regulation
- Integrates with the E3 supervisory control for CO2 applications, E3 and Site Supervisor controllers, as well as Copeland’s E2 controller
- Provides multiple parameter maps with DI switching for stand-alone use
- Supports in-the-field firmware upgrade for enhanced serviceability
