Emerson Recognized for Industry Innovation by AHR Expo
St. Louis, October 10, 2018 – Emerson (NYSE: EMR) has been recognized by AHR (Air Conditioning, Heating, Refrigeration) Expo in its annual AHR Innovation Awards competition, recognizing the most inventive HVACR products, systems, and technologies that will be displayed at the upcoming show.
Emerson’s Copeland Scroll™ fractional-horsepower, low-temperature compressor was the winning product in the Refrigeration category. These compressors utilize liquid-injection technology and cooling discharge temperatures to help reduce compressor stress and meet upcoming federal regulatory requirements from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Department of Energy (DOE).
In addition, Emerson products were finalists in four other categories:
- Supervisory Controls (Building Automation)
- Universal single stage furnace control for ECMx blower motors (Heating)
- RIDGID Press Booster & Rings for MegaPress® XL (Plumbing)
- Sensi™ Multiple Thermostat Manager (Software)
The AHR Expo (International Air-Conditioning, Heating, Refrigerating Exposition) is the world’s largest HVACR event, consisting of more than 2,100 exhibitors and attracting 60,000+ attendees each year.
